Our helper Mardee left Friday morning to spend the week-end in the Philippines. So in the afternoon, I had to stop painting and prepare Shabbat dinner. There was only Mark and I, no guests expected.
Notre employee de maison Mardee est partie Vendredi matin pour passer le week-end aux Philippines. Aussi ai-je du arreter de peindre l'apres-midi pour preparer le diner de Shabat. Il n'y avait que Mark et moi, pas d'invites attendus.
Nice surprise, Mark came back in the afternoon bringing me lovely flowers : peonies my favorite flowers and a delicate lovely white flower with red stripes which I had never seen before and the name of which I don't know..
Jolie surprise, Mark revint l'apres-midi en m'apportant de jolies fleurs : des pivoines, ma fleur preferee et un jolie fleur delicate blanche avec des raies rouges, que je n'avais ancore jamais vue et dont j'ignore le nom et la provenance.
As I am currently painting a very big canvas, and as I use the dinner table for my painting material, I took out a small Ikea table from Mark's study and put it in the middle of the living-room for our Shabat dinner.
Comme je suis entrain de peindre une tres grande toile, et que j'utilise la table de salle a manger pour mon materiel de peinture, j'ai sorti une petite table Ikea du bureau de Mark et l'ai mise dans le salon pour notre diner de Chabat.
It's nice from time to time to change your habits, to have a meal in an unusual place, on a small table... you feel young again, dating your own husband....
C'est sympathique de temps en temps de changer ses habitudes, de prendre un repas en un endroit inhabituel, sur une petite table... on se sent a nouveau jeune, sortant avec son propre mari...
After shul, we had a charming dinner enjoying the flowers, the candles the meal, of course the company!!! It was our romantic dinner. Let's do it again!!!
Apres la synagogue, nous eumes un charmant diner en appreciant les fleurs, les bougies, le repas et bien sur, la conpagnie!!! Ce fut notre diner romantique. Nous le referont!!!
