In Melbourne we find delicious Kosher meat, a huge selection of lamb, beef, veal, both from Australia or New Zealand. There are many delicious chicken, sausages, cold meat too. For Pesach in kosher deli shops there was gelfiltefish and chopped liver.. However there was not a great selection of cookies and cakes. Thanks to David we found a delicious bakery called Klein but closed on Sundays and during the whole Pessah week, excellent but really expensive!
A Melbourne nous trouvons de la delicieuse viande cacher, avec un grand choix d'agneau, boeuf, veau aussi bien d'Australie que de Nouvelle Zelande , il y a egalement d'excellents poulets, saucisses, et charcuteries. Pour Pessah, dans les traiteurs Cachers, nous avons trouve du gefiltefish et du foie hache, cependant il n'y avait pas un grand choix de gateaux et biscuits. Toutefois grace a David, nous avons trouve un excellent patissier appele Klein, helas ferme le Dimanche et pendant toute la semaine de Pessah aussi avec d'excellent gateaux hors de prix d'ailleurs.
Today is the last day of Pessach, so tonight the 4 of us will enjoy pastas or pizza in a small restaurant round the corner. (15mn walk).
C'est le dernier jour de Pessah aussi ce soir irons-nous tous les 4 nous regaler de pates ou pizzas dans un restaurant du coin (15 mn de marche).
When I walk Kai-Phong at night not far from home, there is a beautiful house from the end of XIXth century or very beginning of the XXth century, listed and described in books about colonial Melbourne. It now belongs to Chinese people who are lavishly refurbishing it and at night are putting horrible purple and green lights, like in China. It is so chocking that I took photos.

Quand je promene Kai-Phong le soir, pres de chez nous, il y a une belle maison de la fin du XIXe siecle ou du tout debut du XXe siecle qui est classee, et decrite dans des livres sur le Melbourne colonial d'autrefois. Elle appartient desormais a des chinois qui la restaurent a grands frais et qui la nuit l'eclairent avec d'horribles lumieres vertes et violettes, comme on le fait en Chine. C'est tellement choquant que je vous ai pris des photos.
I also saw a long, long and strange flower coming out of a plant and I want you to see it. J'ai aussi vu une fleur bizarre tres tres longue, sortant d'une plante grasse et je veux vous la montrer.

Une autre chose que je souhaite vous montrer est la variete de plaques d'immatriculation des voitures de Melbourne (Etat de Victoria) En Australie, comme aux USA il y a plusieurs Etats qui jouissent d'une certaine autonomie par rapport au gouvernement central.
Tomorrow we have to put aside Pessah stuff, tomorrow our stuff from Hong-Kong is arriving between 7 and 8 am, (181 boxes to open and what is inside has to be put somewhere in the new house). The gardener is coming too, and another team from a furniture shop where we bought Myriam's bed which falls down on the right side. Busy day ahead of us!
Demain nous devons ranger les affaires de Pessah, demain, nos affaires de Hong-Kong arrivent entre 7 et 8h du matin (181 cartons a ouvrir et dont le contenu doit etre range quelquepart). Le jardinier vient aussi et une autre equipe d'un magasin d'ameublement ou nous avons achete le lit de Myriam qui se casse la figure du cote droit. Journee chargee en perspective!
