We are going to Paris next Wednesday evening. We will stay four days then go to Spain where we will go on a Jewish Heritage Tour for a week with Rabbi Haim Wiener who organizes amazing trips. It will be our our 6th trip with him. Then 2 more days in Paris and back to Hong-Kong.
Nous partons pour Paris Mercredi soir prochain, Nous y resterons 4 jours avant de nous rendre en Espagne ou nous ferons un voyage Juif du souvenir avec le Rabbin Haim Wiener qui organise de remarquables voyages culturels. Ce sera notre 6eme voyage en sa compagnie. Puis 2 jours a Paris et retour Hong-Kong.
In Paris, we will see Chun Wing who is very stressed with his coming exam to become "Coryphee" instead of "Corps de Ballet" at Paris Opera Ballet. We hope to bring him a bit of warmth and a lot of love to help him prepare well and to be a few days with him if he is disappointed because he failed or to enjoy his success if things go well.
A Paris, nous verrons Chun Wing qui est tres stresse avec l'approche de son concours pour devenir "Coryphee" au lieu de "Corps de Ballet" a l'Opera de Paris. Nous esperons lui apporter un peu de chaleur et beaucoup d'affection pour l'aider a bien se preparer et passer quelques jours avec lui s'il est decu par ce que ca n'a pas bien marche ou pour feter son succes si tout va bien.
Anyway, Chun Wing is doing his best and works very hard doing many rehearsals for the exam. Meanwhile in Australia, Myriam is also working hard, revising for her exams mid-November and David is correcting his student's papers as well as giving them oral exams. The Maths department also has the visit of 4 French mathematicians and all of them happily work and do research together.
Busy time for every body!!!
En tout cas Chun Wing fait de son mieux et travaille dur en repetant beaucoup le programme du concours. Pendant ce temps en Australie Myriam travaille aussi dur, a reviser pour ses examens mi-Novembre et David corrige les copies de ses eleves et leur fait passer des oraux. Le Departement de Maths recoit en ce moment la visite de 4 Mathematiciens Francais et tous ensemble echangent leurs travaux et font de la recherche avec plaisir.
End of November Mark and I will try for the third time to see Halong Bay, hoping that it will work his time.
Fin Novembre, Mark et mois essayerons pour la troisieme fois de voir la Baie de Halong, en esperant que ca marche cette fois.
Mid December David will join us in Hong-Kong for a month (as it will be summer holidays then in Australia) and around Xmas Robin and Mich (Mark's brother and his wife) will come to stay with us in HK for the end of the year. In the middle of their holidays, they will go to Beijing, Xian and Guilin then back to us in HK. Mardee will be in the Philippines... she had ask us to let her go to see her family for Xmas long time ago, before I knew we would have guests, but never mind, I will manage with the help of Kai Phong.... and probably of Mark too!
Mi-Decembre, David viendra nous voir pour 1 mois a Hong-Komg (ce sera alors les vacances d'Ete en Australie) et pour Noel, Robin et Mish (le frere de Mark et sa femme) viendront chez nous passer la fin de l'annee. Au milieu de leur sejour ils irons quelques jours en Chine a Beijing, Xian et Guilin puis retour chez nous a HK. Mardee pendant ce temps sera aux Philippines, elle nous a demande depuis tres longtemps a partir a Noel, la-bas voir sa famille. Tant pis, je vais me debrouiller seule sans elle, avec l'aide de Kai-Phong et ....sans doute de Mark aussi!
Mid January will see our departure to Melbourne... after 4 years in Hong-Kong. Mark will move first and will stay in his club in Melbourne, I will join him soon and will try to find a flat we like.
Mi-Janvier verra notre depart pour Melbourne... apres 4 annees a Hong-Kong. Mark partira le premier et restera a son club a Melbourne, je viendrai le rejoindre pour chercher un appartement qui nous plaise.
Then once we have the flat, Kai-Phong will travel and will have to stay 10 days in quarantine which will be hard for her... and very hard for me!!! Meanwhile our furniture will hopefully arrive at some point... and we will move in our new flat.
Une fois qu'on aura l'appartement, Kai-Phong voyagera a son tour et devra rester 10 jours en quarantaine ce qui sera dur pour elle et tres dur pour moi!!! Pendant ce temps nos meubles devraient finir par arriver et nous permettre de nous installer dans notre nouvel appartement.
I will probably have to go back to Hong-Kong during the process so we plan to keep Mardee (and the flat) till end of February so that she can help with the removal and after it clean and paint with her husband the flat. It will also give her time we hope to find a new employer. Le's keep our fingers crossed!!!
Je devrai sans doute retourner une fois a Hong-Kong pendant le changement aussi envisageons-nous de garder Mardee (et l'appartement) jusqu'a fin Fevrier pour qu'elle nous aide avec le demenagement et apres a nettoyer et repeindre l'appartement avec son mari. Cela lui donnera aussi du temps pour se trouver un nouvel employeur. On croise le doigts!!!
Beginning of 2017 is going to be challenging and busy!!! but also very exciting!!! I am both scarred and happy. I'll keep you posted!
