FIRST WEEK OF JULY 2017: PREMIERE SEMAINE DE JUILLET 2017

Last week we visited ABC broadcasting studio and also the Glen Eira Town Hall. Caulfield where we live is part of Glen Eira. The building was built at the end of the XIX th century but modernized in 1930 and again extended in the 1990s. We enjoyed the visit which we found interesting.

La semaine dernière, nous avons visité les studios d'enregistrement de ABC et aussi la Mairie de Glen Eira. Caulfield où nous habitons depend administrativement de Glen Eira. Le bâtiment a été construit à la fin du XIXème siècle puis modernisé en 1930 et agrandi à nouveau dans les années 1990. Nous avons bien aimé cette visite intéressante.

Then on Friday, David arrived from Paris and stayed with us over the week-end. On Sunday Jane (Mark's sister who lives in Israel) came with her husband Amnon and elder son Boaz and girlfriend Alma (who both live in Melbourne). We spent the day together and in the morning, visited Rippon Lea House, an old mansion with a beautiful garden. We had lunch at our home and in the afternoon went for a walk on St Kilda's beach about 5 kms from our home.

         
Puis Vendredi, David arriva de Paris et passa le week-end avec nous. Dimanche visite de Jane (la sœur de Mark qui vit en Israël) et de son mari Amnon ainsi que de Boaz et sa copine Alma (qui habitent à Melbourne); Nous passâmes la journée tous ensemble; Le matin nous visitâmes une grande maison à Rippon Lea avec son jardin magnifique. Nous déjeunâmes à la maison puis l'après-midi nous fîmes une promenade sur la plage de St Kilda à environ 5km de chez nous.

 Yesterday Monday 4 July we had guests for tea : the former owners of our house who came to fetch their mail and to explain a few things about the house and garden. They are very charming and we had a great time together.

Hier Lundi 4 Juillet nous avons eu ds invités pour le thé : les anciens propriétaires de notre maison venus chercher leur courrier et nous donner des explications sur le fonctionnement de la maison et du jardin; Ils sont charmants et nous passâmes une excellente après-midi ensemble;
