After a few days in Paris, we flew to Malaga to meet with Rabbi Weiner's Jewish group from London. We arrive at lunch time, had a quick lunch at the small airport and took the coach to the city to see the old Jewish quarter and the modern statue of medieval poet Salomon Ibn Gavirol 1021-1068 who probably was very different from his so called statue.
Apres quelques jours a Paris, nous nous envolames pour Malaga, retrouver le groupe juif anglais de Londres du Rabbin Haim Weiner. Nous arrivames a midi passe, primes un rapide dejeuner a l'aeroport puis prines notre bus pour un bref tour de l'ancien quartier Juif de Malaga et pour saluer la statue moderne du poete medieval Salomon Ibn Gavirol 1020-1068 qui etait probablement tres different physiquement de "sa" statue.
We would come back to Malaga at the end of our trip and Mark and I would spend an extra day there without the group, to visit this beautiful old city.

In Malaga, this strange tree, coming from South America, with its trunk full of water inside and full of thorns outside, with its beautiful flowers that become Kapok and that reminded me of Hong-Kong cotton tree flowers, even if cotton trees have no thorns at all.
A Malaga cet arbre Sud Americain d'origine, au tronc rempli d'eau et parcouru d'epines,aux fleurs superbes qui donnent du kapok. Il rappelle le Cotton Tree de Hong Kong bien que ce dernier n'ait aucune epine.
Nous allions revenir a Malaga a la fin de notre voyage et Mark et moi allions y passer une journee supplementaire sans le groupe, pour bien visiter cette jolie ville ancienne.
Meanwhile the group traveled at once by coach to Granada where we would spend our first night. We stopped before entering the city to admire a view of the Alhambra palace seen from far away.
En attendant, le groupe partit tout de suite en car pour Grenade ou nous allions passer la nuit. Nous nous arretames aant d'arriver en ville, pour admoirer une spectaculaire vue du Palais de l'Alhambra vu de loin.
In Granada we settled down in our hotel, then went out to see the old Jewish district and went in small groups to various restaurants for dinner. We decided to spend the evening with Michael and Annette two British excentric citizens whom we love!
A Grenade, nous nous installames a l'hotel, puis sortimes voir l'ancien quartier Juif et allames en petits groupes diner dans divers restaurants. Nous decidames de diner avec Michael et Annette deux citoyens Britanniuques assez excentriques que nous adorons!
Michael and Mark were walking ahead of Annette and I, when suddenly Annette saw a Bazaar with huge plastic flowers which she loves. We got in and she took a long time to choose two enormous flowers and when we came out of he Bazaar (all Bazaars in Andalousia seem to belong to Chinese people and all the very cheap goodies come from China) anyway when we came out, our husbands were gone and it took us almost one hour to find them in the old city of Granada.
Michael et Mark marchaient devant Annette et moi, quand soudain, Annette apercut un bazar vendant des fleurs en plastique qu'elle adore. Nous entrames et elle mit tres longtemps a choisir deux enormes fleurs oranges et jaunes et quand nous sortimes du bazar, (Tous les bazar d'Andalousie sembent appartenir a des Chinois et vendre des objets tres bon marches made in China) quand nous sortimes, nos maris avaient disparu et nous mimes pres d'une heure a les retrouver dans la vieille ville de Grenade.
Fortunatly in every restaurant we saw people from our group and in the end someone told us that they had just seen them going "That way" so we tried our luck and found them. They had spent some time looking for us, then had entered an old bookshop where they spent the rest of the time till we found each others. We had a lovely dinner in a nice restaurant, we ate on the pavment in the street.
Heureusement, dans chaque restaurant, il y avait des gens de notre groupe et a la fin, quelqu'un nous dit que nos maris venaient juste de passer et "d'aller par la". Nous tentames notre chance et les trouvames, ils avaient passe un peu de temps a nous chercher, puis etaient entres dans une vieille librairie ou ils y avaient passe le reste du temps jusqu'a que nous nous retrouvions tous 4. Nous choisimes un joli restaurant et dinames en pleine rue sur un trottoir.
