MELBOURNE DENTIST / DENTISTE MELBOURNIEN

Going to the dentist is among the things I really dislike... In Paris I had an incompetent one, a sadistic other one and another incompetent third one. In Hong-Kong, I went once, the guy was so expansive and so full of himself that I never went again. But after 3 years... I could not postpone anymore. Friends had given Mark a good address, (where he regularly goes) so I forced myself to stop being a coward. Having been able to loose 21 kg, I should be able to set a foot at a dentist practice!

Aller chez le dentiste est une des choses que je déteste... A Paris j'en ai eu un incompétent, un deuxième carrément sadique et un troisième également incompétent. A Hong-Kong j'y suis allée une fois, le gars était tellement cher et imbu de sa personne que je n'y suis jamais retournée, mais après 3 ans, impossible de tergiverser davantage il fallait y aller! Des amis avaient donné à Mark une bonne adresse (où il se rend régulièrement) et il a bien fallu que je me force à cesser d'être lâche. J'ai réussi à perdre 21 kg, je devais être aussi capable de mettre un pied chez un dentiste!

I went and Dr David Strauch  was very professional, good at explaining what he was doing and what the next step would be (...pulling off a bad tooth that could not be saved!). I went today and he did  a wonderful job, did not hurt at all, was kind, smiling when I made jokes to cover my fear. I understand dogs when they whine and run away from the vet practice....

Je m'y suis rendue, et il était très professionnel, expliquant bien ce qu'il faisait, et ce qu'il ferait la fois suivante (... l'extraction d'une dent qu'on ne pouvait sauver!). J'y suis allée aujourd'hui et il a fait de l'excellent travail, il était gentil, souriant quand je faisais de l'humour pour cacher ma frousse. Je comprends les chiens qui pleurent et se sauvent en courant à la fin de la consultation chez le vétérinaire...  

Now the anaesthetic is slowly fading but I feel fine. By precaution I had asked my neighbour Rainbow, to walk Kai-Phong this afternoon, but I feel well enough to join her. Back to normal life!

Maintenant l'anesthésie s'estompe mais ça va. Par précaution, j'avais demandé à ma voisine Rainbow de promener Kai-Phong cet après-midi, mais je me sens assez bien pour l'accompagner. La vie reprend son cours!  

J'ai trouvé de jolis petits cadres pour les petits rabbins que j'ai dessinés.
