Mark is now commuting to Sydney and coming back to Melbourne for the week-end. A big change in our life, we are so happy to see him when he comes back on Friday!
Mark fait des aller-retour entre Sydney et Melbourne, il revient à la maison le week-end. Un grand changement dans notre vie, et nous sommes vraiment contents de le revoir quand il rentre le Vendredi.

There is a Chinese family in this house, and the father plants sun flowers every year for Chinese New Year. They are magnificent but attract the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos that devour the seeds. The guy worked so hard to plant his sun flowers, I really hope he will have a few left for CNY, I wonder if he uses the flowers or just the seeds and what is the connection with CNY?
Cette maison est habitée par une famille chinoise, et le père plante chaque année des tournesols pour le Nouvel An Chinois. Ils sont magnifiques et attirent les Cacatoès à crête jaune qui dévorent les graines de bon cœur. Le monsieur a travaillé tellement dur pour planter ses tournesols, j'espère qu'il lui en restera suffisamment pour le Nouvel An Chinois. Je me demande s'il utilise les fleurs ou seulement les graines pour le Nouvel an!

Myriam and I went to the NGV (Melbourne main art museum National Galerie of Victoria) for a commented visit of a modern art exhibition. Here are some photos of the most striking installations.
Myriam et moi sommes allées au NGV (principal musée d'art de Melbourne National Galerie of Victoria) voir une exposition d'installations modernes. Voici quelques photos des oeuvres les plus marquantes.
This huge sculpture was very strange with a beautiful Buddha on top of which were those replica of western classical sculptures....
Cette énorme sculpture était très étrange avec un très beau Bouddha surmonté par ces répliques de statues occidentales classiques.
Amazingly, this was a tapestry, my photo only shows 1/3 of it. The artist drew then painted those trash of chewing-gum aluminium wrapping, then computorized her art and had a tapestry woven probably by a machine. I am not a fan of trash art... but this was stunning and beautiful if you forget it is hundreds of chewing-gum wrappings...
Curieusement, ceci est une tapisserie, ma photo n'en montre qu'un tiers. L'artiste a dessiné puis peint ces papiers aluminium de chewing-gums froissés, puis a mis son oeuvre sur ordinateur pour en faire une tapisserie tissé, j'imagine par une machine. Je ne suis pas une fan de "trash art" (art des déchets) mais je dois reconnaitre que c'était superbe et étonnant si on oublie qu'il s'agit de papiers froissés de chewing-gums....
Then there was the most perturbing and unsettling installation with enormous replicas of human cranes without a jaw, but all different with or without teeth...
Puis il y eut la plus perturbante des installations 100 énormes reproductions de cranes humains sans machoires, mais toutes différentes avec ou sans dents....
So many cranes fallen all over the room...made you think of the death fields in Cambodgia or the Paris Catacombes, I felt very ill at ease and morbidly fascinated....
Tant de cranes humain tombés partout dans la salle, vous font penser aux Champs de la Mort au Cambodge et aux Catacombes de Paris. Je me sentais très mal à l'aise et fascinée de façon morbide.
Who were they, what happened to them???
After this exhibition what is the museum going to do with this hugeinstallation which was a special command to the artist??? What do you do with 100 cranes which are art????
Qui étaient-ils, que leur est-il arrivé?
Après l'exposition, que va faire le musée avec cette énorme installation qui était une commande spéciale à l'artiste??? Que faire de 100 cranes qui sont "de l'art"???

Yesterday Saturday in the evening Mark, Myriam and I went to an outdoor movie in Rippon Lea Estate, a beautiful old home with a magnificent garden which are now National Trust. We brought a pique-nique and big quilts to sit on the lawn. We saw "A dog's purpose" a lovely film.
Hier Samedi, le soir Mark, Myriam et moi allâmes voir un film dans un jardin, à Rippon Lea, une magnifique maison ancienne avec un superbe jardin qui appartiennent maintenant au gouvernement. Nous apportâmes un pique-nique et des couettes pour nous asseoir sur le gazon.
The sky was beautiful! Le ciel était très beau!
Usually we put Kai Phong in the car trunk when we go to a park far away, and the back widow is too high for her to see, but this time she was at the back of the car and she enjoyed looking out of the window ... she loves riding in a car!
D'habitude, nous mettons Kai Phong dans le coffre de la voiture quad nous allons dans un parc assez loin, et la fenêtre arrière est trop haute pour qu'elle puisse voir, mais cette fois elle était à l'arrière de la voiture et adorait regarder par la fenêtre... elle adore aller en voiture!
My friend Deborah's dogs at their home, a few houses from our home. We often meet when walking the dogs and chat, so we decided to have a cup of tea one morning, it was great! Les chiens de mon amie Deborah chez eux, à quelques maisons de chez nous. Nous nous voyons souvent en promenant les chiens et bavardons, alors nous avons pris date pour prendre le thé ensemble, ce fut très sympa!;
In Australian as it is summer we can buy apricots, see how colourful and delicious they look!
En Australie, comme c'est l'été, nous pouvons trouver des abricots, voyez comme ils sont appétissants et colorés!
