I fell pretty much at home here in Australia, except for the seasons. We are now in September, so in Europe, autumn is slowly arriving, the days are shorter and cooler, but here in Melbourne it's spring, so the Jewish New Year starts in spring…
We had a great start of the New Year, 5779, invited at friends on the first evening and at home with guests on the second night.

Je me sens chez moi en Australie, sauf pour les saisons. Nous sommes maintenant en Septembre et en Europe, l'automne arrive doucement, les jours sont plus courts et plus frais, mais ici à Melbourne c'est le printemps, donc le Nouvel An juif commence au printemps. Nous avons très bien commencé la nouvelle année 5779, invités par des amis le premier soir et chez nous avec des invités le second soir.

We went to a beach 8 kms from home, called Brighton, famous for its colourful cabins

Kai Phong and I saw a possum above us as we were walking back home on morning. Normally possums only go out at night so something was probably wrong with this one.
Kai Phong et moi avons vu un opossum au-dessus de no têtes alors que nous rentrions à la maison un matin. Normalement, ils ne sortent que la nuit aussi quelque chose devait ne pas aller bien chez cet opossum.

Regardez les mimosas australiens, ils sont souvent différents des nôtres dans le midi, j'en ai même vu de couleur orange
Look at the Australien wattle trees, they are often so different from ours in the south of France, I even saw orange colour ones
